If Only...

They were in the same hall, same event, same peers.

But they were not having their moment of simple chat unlike the other guests.

He was just looking over her and so was she.

It was like a secret code in their eyes. They may have not uttered a word but they know deep inside that they were happy to see each other.

A certain unexplainable happiness. It that was just enough for them to have their paths crossed for that night.

He tried to come closer but her girlfriends unconsciously veered her away to have their girly chat. On his side, his comrades started to have their own world of cars, careers and women.

Moments of lull came through on each side. And they both grabbed this chance to check each other out. Surprised that they both looked at each one at the same time.

She drew a smile on her face. He reciprocated this with a nod.

She looked away. And so did he. They both tried to come back to the reality of chat of their friends but their thoughts was with each other...

As the event ended, everyone was bidding goodbye. Having to go on their own separate ways, they tried to steal a glance for the last time. And they did see each other for the last moment that night.

She thought:

If only he had come nearer, I could have been much happier... I could have told him that he was definitely handsome tonight. I could have given him a simple hug...

He thought:

She looks gorgeous as ever... If only I got the chance to come near her, I would have been able to know how she was now... Though, I'm really grateful she was around tonight... I could have kissed her goodbye...

Two hearts longing for each other.

Two hearts not knowing how to admit everything.

Two hearts wishing for the courage to come.

Two hearts praying they would be one.

Click.

She would never check out his profile page. NEVER.
That she promised to herself.

C'mon... He would not know you visited his page... NEVER.

Reality check: She misses him. So much.
With enough courage, she typed in his name in the Search box.
Right click.
Page loading....
Still loading...
Opening page....
She closed her eyes. Held her breath.
There it was.
The face she was longing to see all this time.
Her breathing is not normal.
Well, this is her "normal" reaction when she sees him..
In flesh or even in her flat screen.

Photos of him. Check it out.

Photos.
Yes. She would like to see how he was.
Even through his pictures.
Deep breaths.
Click.

He has not changed... He even looked better.

She can't admit to herself her real feelings.
How she wished she could touch his face.
Hold his hand... and even hug him tight.

But you cannot. Your eyes are the only powerful tool you have.

Memories came back.
She tried to bug them off.
But it was too late.

"You heard me right, it would hurt me to see you crying...
I won't let you go. Never.
I want you to remember that I'm always here loving you..."

A tear fell down her right eye.
Her lips were quivering.

"You are one blessing in my life..."

She thought so too...

She still love him.
Even if he's gone.

Breathe in and never breathe out..

And so there she was... Remembering all the things that happened.

The joy and the pain that occured before...

And having a little wish inside her heart that someday, he will return..

It was really hard to breathe. She gulped in a lot of air but she refused to let it go..

Memories live forever.

But can it help bring back something that has gone before?
